Michael Jordan Makes Big Move for BahamasNewser — Evann Gastaldo
Hurricane Dorian devastated the Bahamas, and Michael Jordan says he, too, is "devastated" when he looks at the destruction. The former NBA great has a personal link to the islands, "where I own property and visit frequently," he says in a statement obtained by TMZ.
And so he's decided to donate $1 million to hurricane relief efforts there, and promises to "[track] the situation closely and [work] to identify non-profit agencies where the funds will have the most impact." At least 50 people were killed in the hurricane, but thousands remain missing.
