    A South Riding family can thank their dog for escaping a fire early Sunday in their house, a Washington TV station reported Monday. About an hour before sunrise on Sunday, two adults and a child were awakened and alerted to the fire by the family's 14-year-old dog , according to WUSA Channel 9.
