This tank was used for training by the Iowa Army National Guard from 1947-1957 and went into display at Camp Dodge in 1958 at the East overlook. 2012 it was taken down to be refurbished for display in its new location by the Museum.

The Iowa Department of Education released a report Friday that said a total of 480, 722 students in kindergarten through 12th grade were enrolled in public schools in the state during the 2014-2015 school year. The report says the pattern is following 17 years of declining enrollment but the rate of growth is slowing and is expected to plateau in the coming years.

Nationwide is moving about 175 jobs from Des Moines, Iowa, to Columbus as part of a plan to centralize its banking operations. The jobs will move to the area by the end of 2016, spokesman Eric Hardgrove said.
